Application Checklist


In order to give your application full consideration, the Admissions Committee requires that you submit the following documents on or before the appropriate deadlines. Applications received after the deadline will be considered on a space available basis.
  • Complete the application for admission
  • $50 application fee or approved fee waiver
  • Give faculty evaluation to a professor along with a stamped envelope addressed to: Office of Admissions, St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY 13617. Be sure to give your professor enough time to fill it out and return it by the appropriate deadline.
  • Request official high school transcript to be sent to St. Lawrence
  • Ask your high school guidance counselor to submit an evaluation (if relevant)
  • Request testing agencies to report your scores to St. Lawrence (if applicable)
  • Request all official college transcripts to be sent to St. Lawrence
  • Send course catalogue(s) from all schools you have attended
  • Complete and send the Mid-Term Grade Report to St. Lawrence (if currently enrolled in courses)
  • Ask the appropriate dean or registrar to complete and submit the Statement of Good Standing
For Financial Aid Candidates:
  • FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
  • Financial Aid Transcript(s)
Priority Application Deadlines:
For Spring Semester - November 1
For Fall Semester - April 1

Financial Aid Application Filing Instructions and Deadlines:
  1. When filling out the admissions application, check yes to the question "Will you be a candidate for financial aid?"
  2. Fill out and send the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the appropriate processing center by November 1st or April 1st depending on the semester in which you seek to enroll. Instruct the processing agency to send the results to St. Lawrence. These forms are available at secondary school guidance offices or your college's financial aid office.
  3. You are encouraged to complete the College Scholarship Service (CSS) PROFILE form and/or the St. Lawrence financial aid application which will be mailed to you.
  4. Request official financial aid transcripts from all post-secondary institutions you have attended to be mailed to the Financial Aid Office at St. Lawrence. You can obtain these transcripts from the respective financial aid offices.
