First Year Application Information and Checklist
Application Checklist
To be considered for admission, you should submit the following items to Saint Mary's:
- Completed application form.
- An official transcript of completed high school work with class rank, if applicable.
- Official results of the SAT or the ACT with the optional Writing test. Saint Mary's College SAT code is 1702, and the ACT code is 1244.
- Recommendation from a high school counselor. Additional recommendations from faculty members are accepted but not required.
- Essay.

Financial Aid Checklist
To be considered for financial aid, you should:

Complete the PROFILE application on or after October 1, but prior to the recommended March 1 filing deadline.
The PROFILE application must be completed online at http://profileonline.collegeboard.com. The Saint Mary's College code for the PROFILE is 1702.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after January 1, but before the recommended March 1 filing deadline.
The FAFSA can be completed electronically at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The Saint Mary's code for the FAFSA is 001836.
Early Decision Program
For those wishing to resolve their college plans as early as possible, Saint Mary's College offers an Early Decision option. It is understood that this service is offered to those for whom Saint Mary's is their first choice, and while other applications may be filed for regular decision, only one may be filed for Early Decision. The application form requires the signature of a parent and high school counselor.
Under the Early Decision Program, admitted candidates are obligated to withdraw applications submitted to other institutions upon their acceptance of the admission offer.

To be considered for financial aid and receive a package before the January 15 deposit deadline, you should:

Complete the PROFILE application online on or after October 1 at http://profileonline.collegeboard.com. The Saint Mary's College code for the PROFILE is 1702. PROFILE - Application Deadline: Before Nov. 1.
Early decision applicants may apply for financial aid after these deadlines; however, they may not receive a financial aid offer prior to the January 15 deposit deadline.

All Early Decision financial aid applicants also must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after January 1 and not later than the March 1 recommended filing deadline. The FAFSA is available in early December electronically through the U.S. Department of Education at http://www.FAFSA.ed.gov. The Saint Mary's code for the FAFSA is 001836.
