Graduate Application Instructions
Thank you for your interest in the graduate programs offered at Pace University. The Office of Graduate Admission looks forward to receiving your application for graduate study and learning of your unique academic and professional background and goals.

Please note the checklist below which outlines documents required to complete an application for graduate admission. You may choose to have your official documents sent to a Pace University Office of Graduate Admission either before or after you have submitted your application.

The Office of Graduate Admission staff will be happy to assist in answering your individual questions regarding the admission process. We invite you to e-mail, call or visit to help clarify your concerns regarding such matters as transcripts, admission tests, prerequisite courses, campus locations and course schedules. Also, we can refer you to the appropriate Pace faculty and administrators who can discuss specific academic curricula, financial aid, scholarships, assistantships and career opportunities.
Please Submit the Following:
  • $65.00 application fee
  • Personal statement*
  • Recommendations
  • Résumé*
  • Official College or University transcript(s) from all institutions attended
  • Official standardized test score report if applicable (e.g. GMAT, GRE, MAT, TOEFL)
  • Pace Financial Affidavit and bank documentation of available funds - for applicants who, if accepted, will require a student or exchange visitor's visa.

Applications must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of $65.00
A resume or typewritten outline describing at least the past five years of your employment history and significant community, professional, or college extracurricular activities should be sent. Please include recognitions of achievements you have received (e.g. licenses, publications and awards).
Personal Statement You may submit your statement online or send a typewritten essay explaining to the members of the Graduate Admission Committee why you would like to pursue the program of graduate study you have chosen. Additional information regarding your academic performance, as well as professional experience, may be included as a supplement.
Two Letters of Recommendation Two recommendations from individuals who can knowledgeably comment on your ability to successfully complete graduate study are required. These references may be either academic or professional and must be forwarded in envelopes sealed by the recommenders. Recommendation forms are available online. If preferred, recommenders may write their recommendation on personal stationery or company letterhead.
All Official Transcripts Transcripts are considered official if sent directly from the academic institution(s) to Pace University, or if submitted by the applicant, unopened, in the institution's original sealed envelopes. Be sure to request transcripts from all institutions you will have attended prior to your anticipated start date at Pace University.
Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) A GMAT score report, no older than five years, is required for all applicants to the Lubin School of Business' graduate programs with the exception of the Advanced Graduate Certificate program unless the Lubin Admission Committee grants a waiver. The ETS reporting code for Pace University NYC is 2635 or for White Plains, NY is 2644. To obtain a GMAT application, write to: Educational Testing Service, P.O. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) The GRE general test, no older than five years, is required only for those applicants interested in being considered for the School of Computer Science and Information Systems' D.P.S. program and Bridge program for International Students or graduate assistantship, the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences' M.P.A. program, Environmental Science program, Publishing program, M.S. and M.S.Ed. in Psychology* and the Lienhard School of Nursing's Combined Degree program (B.S.N./M.S.). For the B.S.N./M.S., the Miller Analogy Test (MAT) may be substituted for the GRE general test. The ETS reporting code for Pace University, NYC is R2635, or for White Plains, R2644. *Please note that the Psy.D. requires the psychology subject test as well.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) A TOEFL score, no older than two years, is required of all applicants whose native language is not English, or who did not receive a bachelor or master degree from a U.S. institution. The ETS reporting code for Pace University, NYC is 2635 or for White Plains, 2644. Priority Deadline Dates for Applications Are As Follows:
Domestic International DPS
Fall Entry Term (September) August 1 June 1 May 1
Spring Entry Term (January) December 1 October 1
Summer 1 (June) and II (July) Entry Terms May 1 March 1

The deadline date for application to the M.S.Ed or Psy.D is February 1st for Fall admission.

Special note: Priority deadline date for merit scholarship considered are:
Fall entry - June 1
Spring entry - October 1


*If you wish to submit your personal statement and/or résumé online, we recommend that prior to beginning this application you prepare the following:
  1. A personal statement/essay in which you explain to the members of the Graduate Admission Committee why you would like to pursue the program of graduate study you have chosen. If you wish to provide any additional information which you would like the Graduate Admission Committee to consider in the evaluation of your application, please do not hesitate to add a supplement to your personal statement.
  2. A résumé or outline, in which you describe at least the past five years of your employment history and significant community, professional, or college extracurricular activities. Please include any recognition of achievement you have received (e.g., licenses, publications, awards).
