We are very pleased to learn of your interest in attending Lipscomb University!
We have tried to simplify the application process as much as possible;
therefore, please read the following instructions carefully. You
are about to make one of the most important decisions of your life, and
we want to be as helpful as possible in assisting your decision-making
process. At Lipscomb, our purpose is to help develop individuals
who are spiritually, socially, physically, and intellectually equipped
to serve an unchanging God and an ever-changing world. If you have
any questions about the application process or about Lipscomb University,
please call the Admissions Office and a member of our staff will be happy
to help you. If you have not visited our campus, we encourage you

APPLYING TO LIPSCOMB
This application contains the forms you will need to present your academic achievement and to convey your personal interest in attending Lipscomb University. The admissions Selection Committee will review your application
carefully. The purpose of our admissions process is to determine
your preparation, motivation, and ability to succeed in the academic and
extracurricular community at Lipscomb.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Early Application - Students who apply early for the fall will receive
several benefits. Apply before November 15 and
-
pay no application fee, and
-
receive early decision by the Selection Committee, and
-
receive priority consideration for scholarships and certain types of financial
aid.
Please send in all forms along with your ACT/SAT score and high school
transcript before November 15.
Regular Application - Students who apply during the regular application
period will
-
pay $50 application fee, and (Lipscomb does not participate in the College
Board's Fee Waiver program. Please see your high school guidance
counselor for more information.)
-
receive decision beginning January 1
-
apply before February 28 and receive priority consideration for scholarships
and certain types of financial aid.
TRANSFER ADMISSION
Candidates for transfer admission may be submitted at any time.
Official transcripts are required of all college work. Only the personal
reference is necessary. In some cases, a high school transcript and
ACT or SAT scores must be submitted.

Early application offers the same benefits to transfers as to first-time
freshmen (see "Early Application").
INTERVIEWS AND CAMPUS VISITS
Personal interviews are recommended. The University and the prospective
student both benefit from this kind of evaluation of one another, as it
enables both parties to make appropriate decisions.
When you are ready to visit Lipscomb University, call ahead to arrange
for a tour and an appointment with an admissions counselor. Guest
suites are available for overnight use. To reserve a room or schedule

RESIDENCE HALLS
Because of limited residence hall facilities and demand that exceeds
the number of rooms available, residence hall assignments are made to those
accepted on a priority basis. Notification of the assignment will
be sent beginning in June. No guarantee of dorm preference can be
made even though a room deposit is paid. Once you have been approved
for admission you will be sent an acceptance package along with a Living
at Lipscomb brochure and an application for on-campus housing. Approval
to life off-campus can be given if a student meets at least one of these
stipulations.

Free room and board provided in a family situation for the purpose of helping
a student through school

Enrolled in fewer than 9 hours.
Please complete application and return it, along with your $100 housing
application deposit, which will be credited to your student account.
NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTS

After filling in the applicant section on the recommendation forms, give
the appropriate form to your counselor and selected reference. Also
request that a transcript be sent to Lipscomb.
Return the completed forms to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Lipscomb

FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

PURPOSE
Lipscomb University's Financial Aid Program exists to provide financial
assistance to students who, without such aid, would be unable to attend
the University.
HOW TO APPLY
Financial Aid
The Free Application Form for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the application
for financial aid at Lipscomb University. All students applying for
aid must first apply for admission or be currently enrolled at the University.
A completed FAFSA must be submitted requesting that the analysis be sent
to Lipscomb University. Families should file the FAFSA no later than
February 28 to ensure it is received by the deadline date. FAFSA's
are available at the high school guidance office or from any college financial
aid office.
Scholarships

You automatically qualify to be considered for merit and other types of
scholarships when you apply for admission and send in your test scores
and high school transcript. In most cases, no separate scholarship
application is needed. A separate application, however, is sent to
students who qualify for Presidential and Dean's scholarships.

Financial assistance packages for Fall admission will be awarded in the
spring.

If you are accepted by March 25 you will receive your financial assistance
package no later than April 1.
APPLICATION CHECKLIST
-
Complete and submit application to Lipscomb.
-
Give Educational Recommendation to your counselor. Request that he
or she send it and your high school transcript to Lipscomb.

Ask another person who knows you well (minister, teacher, friend) to complete
the Personal Recommendation.

Take the ACT or SAT and request that your scores be sent to Lipscomb (ACT-3956;
SAT-1161).

If you are a transfer applicant, have official transcripts sent from all
colleges attended.
