Type: Private, four-year, coeducational college of liberal arts and sciences. Campus: 60-acre campus with 29 buildings of Georgian architecture located in a historic residential area near downtown Kalamazoo. Students: Enrollment of 1,350 students from 45 states and 35 countries. Typically, half of all first-year students graduated in the top ten percent of their high school class. |
Faculty: Of the 92 resident faculty,
84 percent hold a PhD or equivalent
terminal degree. Student/Faculty Ratio: 13/1 Athletics: Kalamazoo is a member of the NCAA Division III and actively sponsors 16 varsity sports. For men: baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, swimming and diving, and tennis. For women: basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, and volleyball. In addition, students may participate in intramural sports. |

choose from more than 40 extracurricular
activities ranging from music and theatre
to student government and volunteer
opportunities. Tuition and Fees: (For the 2001-2002 academic year) Tuition $20,652; Room and board $6,228; Annual total $26,880. Financial Aid: Traditionally, 85 percent of Kalamazoo College students receive merit- and/or need-based financial assistance. |
