Admission Requirements

• APPLICATION FORM - Complete and submit the online application form with the paid application fee.
  
  
• COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS - Request official transcripts of all previous college work showing a Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited institution, and a grade point average of 2.5 or above to be sent directly to the DSPT Admissions Office.
  
  
• RECOMMENDATIONS - Download three letters of recommendation forms and send them to your recommenders.* These individuals should return these forms directly to the DSPT Admissions Office. Note that you may sign the waiver statement on each form allowing you to waive your right to access under provisions of the Family Rights and Privacy Act of 1974.
  
  * Since the M.Div. program normally leads to the practice of ministry, its admissions requirements include not only standards of academic preparation and ability but also religious, moral and other personality qualifications consonant with the practice of ministry in the Roman Catholic tradition. One of your letters of recommendation must testify to your potential for such ministry. Two of your letters of recommendation should be academic recommendations. If you are a member of a religious order affiliated with DSPT, you may request a waiver of this requirement.
  
  
• ESSAY - Compose a statement of purpose (250 word essay) regarding your interests and goals in graduate studies (see page 3 of Application Form). You may write your essay on a word processing document, then cut and paste the document into the application form.
