CONCURRENT DSPT MA IN THEOLOGY and MA IN PHILOSOPHY DEGREES

Students who wish to pursue an integrated program in both philosophy and philosophical or systematic theology may do so by enrolling in the DSPT Master of Arts degree in Philosophy concurrently with the DSPT Master of Arts in Theology (Option I). Both degrees are conferred in their integrity after a three year course of studies comprising a total of 54 units of course work, and nine units of "in thesis" (30 total units required for the M.A. in Philosophy, and an additional 33 units for the M.A. in Theology).

For detailed description of each degree the applicant should refer to the individual program descriptions. To apply to this concurrent program, the applicant should complete DSPT MA in Theology in full as well as complete the application form only for the DSPT MA in Philosophy degree and submit an academic paper (20 pages maximum). The MA in Theology degree application essay and the academic recommendations should address the applicant's goals, interests and academic ability in the disciplines of both theology and philosophy.
