![]() The following is a list of major expenses which will be incurred by a student at Carson-Newman College. Tuition and Fees for a full-time student cover the basic costs of class instruction, matriculation, basic medical care in the college Wellness Center for minor illnesses and accidents, the Carson-Newman College yearbook, admission to the Concert/Lecture Series, athletic events held on campus (excluding special tournaments) and contributions to several student organizations and publications. Fees for labs, some classes, equipment, and activities are additional. The figures are for the nine month academic year, which is divided into two semesters. Approximately one half of the yearly cost is paid each semester in August and January. Fixed costs refer to those costs that are predetermined by the college. The student will be billed directly by Carson-Newman, and payment is expected at the beginning of each semester. Estimated costs refer to those costs that are determined primarily by the student. These costs vary, and our estimates reflect an average amount of expenses for each academic year.
