FINANCIAL GUARANTEE
You will find the financial guarantee on the Application Menu. The financial guarantee for international students is required by federal law, and enforced by the State Department and the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) under the auspices of a Student (F-1) Visa. Students must certify that they have sufficient financial support to complete the program of study, and they must show a documented guarantee for at least that first year of that study. (Support from the same or equally dependable sources must be assured for the duration of study.) Bucknell University will then determine the amount of support, if any, needed and and will ensure verification has been provided in order to issue the student I-20 document.

FINANCIAL AID/SCHOLARSHIPS
Bucknell University does offer financial assistance to international
students; however, this aid is extremely limited and highly competitive.
A foreign student should not consider Bucknell University unless the student has available
funding from outside sources (family, government agencies, etc.) of at least $24,000 per year.
If you meet this requirement, please write to us for the Foreign Student Financial Aid
Application.
We encourage applicants who require financial assistance to seek funding
from outside sources.*
*Those students with Resident Alien (Green Card) or refugee
status within the United States are eligible for the financial aid options
of U.S. citizens.
