Instructions for the International Student Admission Application Process
Submit a completed International Student Application for Admission form. Options:
Complete the on-line International Student Application for Admission form,
along with the $20.00 application fee, payable with a credit card. The on-line application form is electronically submitted to the International Program Center admissions office upon confirmation of payment. NOTE: Applicants cannot print "screen shots" of the online application form and submit them via postal or e-mail. Screen shots will not be accepted. OR
If you are unable to supply a credit card number for the application fee,
you may access a copy of the application form in PDF format through the
BSU website at http://www.bemidjistate.edu/students/international/appforms.html.
Download and print a hard copy of the application, complete the information
and mail to BSU, along with the fee and required documents. (address is
on the form) OR
E-mail the International Program Center Services Office, or call the BSU IPC at 218-755-4096, or write to the office to request an application be mailed to you.
Please note: It is recommended that you request your admission letter and I-20 or DS-2019 be sent via Federal Express to
assure timely delivery and tracking compatibility. The cost for this is $75. If you wish to request this service, please
notify our office via email.
Request original transcripts or officially certified copies of original transcripts from all institutions previously attended (including all secondary/high schools, colleges, universities, or technical polytechnic schools you have attended or are currently attending) be sent directly to Bemidji State University's International Program Center. If the language of the records is not English, a certified translation must be included with the official transcript. Certified/official attested photocopies may be accepted if original, official transcripts are not attainable. Uncertified photocopies are not accepted. Scanned e-mail copies are not accepted.
If English is not your native or first language, request official copies to be sent to Bemidji State:
TOEFL scores. Minimum score for undergraduate students of 500 paper/pencil, 173 computer-based test, or 61 on the Internet-Based Test. Graduate students minimum score is 550 paper/pencil, 213 computer-based test, or 80 on the Internet based test.

IELTS test scores. Minimum score of 6.0 is required for undergraduate students and 6.50 for graduate students.

A completed BSU Financial Information Form verifying evidence of adequate funding
to meet all of the expenses that will be sustained during the student's proposed
program of study. This form must include the required signatures, supporting
bank statements, affirmation of support or official letters.
