TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION
In the admissions process, Augsburg seeks the academically well-prepared
student. We expect strong high school grades and test scores. But we also
look at the total picture - Augsburg is best suited for the well-rounded
individual
who has an inquiring mind and the motivation to learn.
Freshmen Admission - To apply for admission to Augsburg, freshmen applicants
need to:

Complete the application form, including the essay.

Submit an official high school transcript. Request that your high school
send an official copy of your transcript. A final transcript will be required
after you graduate.

Make sure your ACT or SAT scores are sent to us.

Submit two letters of academic recommendation.

Your $25 application fee will be waived if you send in the application now.

Transfer Admission - To apply for admission as a transfer student,
applicants need to:

Complete the application form, including the essay.

Submit official academic transcripts of college level work. Request the
regis-trar
of each college, university or vocational/technical school you have
attended to send an official copy of your transcript to the Augsburg Office
of Undergraduate Admissions.

If you have completed less than one year of college level work, submit an
official high school transcript, sent directly to Augsburg by the school.
Submit scores from ACT or SAT.

Submit two letters of academic recommendation.
-
Include check or money order for the $25 nonrefundable application fee.
Acceptance - You will be notified of the admissions decision usually
within two weeks after your application file is complete and has been evaluated
by the Admissions Committee.

Freshmen applications are complete when we have received:
Application form and essay
An official copy of the high school transcript
Test results from ACT or SAT
Nonrefundable application fee of $25

Accepted students are asked to make a $150 nonrefundable enrollment
deposit within 30 days of their acceptance or financial aid notification
(for financial aid applicants).

An additional $200 deposit for room and board is required of those who
plan to live in the College residence halls.
* Early Advantage Candidate - If you apply and are accepted to Augsburg
prior to December 15 as an Early Advantage candidate, and your deposit is made
by May 1, you will be guaranteed:

Placement in a college residence hall.

Reservation at the first registration weekend in June.

For Regents’ Scholars, a $500 additional scholarship per year.
