The Office of Admissions at Atlanta Metropolitan College is the beginning point for applicants seeking entry into the college. Admissions personnel evaluate transcripts, SAT/ACT scores and other data pertinent for determining entry of eligibility of applicants.
Transfer students also apply through the Office of Admissions. Credit hours earned at other post-secondary institutions are evaluated for admissions purposes only. Only credits awarded at institutions listed on a student's application at the time of application will be considered for transfer. An official copy of all transcripts from previously attended institutions, for which credit is desired, must be received by the Office of Admissions no later than the admissions application deadline established for the semester of matriculation.
Re-admits, students who have taken a leave of absence and wish to return to the college, must process an application through the Office of the Admissions prior to the semester in which they wish to re-enroll. For additional information, please refer to the process outlined here.
In order to be considered for admission to Atlanta Metropolitan College, all applicants must submit a completed application, appropriate SAT/ACT scores, a certificate of immunization, high-school transcript and/or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) scores, and transcripts from all colleges previously attended.
The college should receive applications and supporting documents no later than (4) four weeks before registration. All credentials submitted become and remain the property of Atlanta Metropolitan College and will not be returned to the applicant, be duplicated, or be transferred to another institution.
Any student who is found to have falsified application records or materials will be subject to dismissal without refund.
Applications and application fee are valid for one semester, after which the student must update admission records. Documents are held for two (2) consecutive semesters after which, the student must re-submit information.
Students who have a religious objection and/or students whose physicians have certified that they cannot be immunized for a medical reason will be admitted, but subject to a college initiated withdrawal from classes without refund, in the event of an outbreak of a disease for which immunization is required.
