   ALL INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT PROOF OF THEIR ABILITY TO MEET ALL EDUCATIONAL AND LIVING EXPENSES FOR ONE ACADEMIC YEAR OF STUDY BEFORE CANISIUS CAN ISSUE A CERTIFICATE OF VISA ELIGILITY (FORM I-20).
   YOUR CERTIFICATE ON FINANCES MUST HAVE ENOUGH FUNDS LISTED AND VERIFIED TO COVER THE COST OF YOUR EDUCATIONAL EXPENSES.

Scholarships Official award letter from the institution awarding the scholarship.
The award letter must contain the name of the applicant, the amount of money available for each year of study, the beginning and ending dates of the award, and the name of Canisius College as the institution to which the award is applicable.
Loans Official letter from the financial institution indicating approval of the loan and the amount of the loan.
Government or Employer Official letter indicating amount of support and containg the same information as Scholarships described above.

  • Bank letters/statements carry no liability on the part of the bank.
  • All documentation must be dated within one year of the date of initial enrollment at Canisius.
  • This information is required for visa eligibility determination only.
  • Copies of the certification of finances and supporting documentation must be submitted with your Certificate of Visa Eligibility (Form I-20) to the Immigration and Naturalization Service when you enter the United States at your point of entry.
